Grants

We extend heartfelt gratitude to our invaluable sponsors and grant providers for their unwavering support, empowering our mission and providing the much needed funds to see our vision come to fruition. Together, we are making a positive impact on female’s health and wellbeing throughout Australia. As Pink Flamingos envisions expanding its reach, we aim to establish over 33 hubs across Queensland. Each hub necessitates a $1500 initial startup investment, encompassing essential resources and comprehensive training for the key facilitator. Our sponsors and grant providers play a pivotal role in making this ambitious growth possible! Please show your support to these organisations.

What are the benefits of sponsoring the Pink Flamingos?

The Pink Flamingos have a compelling vision of expanding their female cycling community initiative to other regional and rural areas of Australia. This expansion plan comprises three distinct strands, which will be developed with the aid of grant funding and sponsorship to grow and establish Pink Flamingos as a recognisable name synonymous with cycling in Australia.

The first strand of the plan:

  • Establish 30 hubs in regional Queensland (specifically targeting low socioeconomic areas.)
  • Each hub led by a local facilitator who shares the community's vision of empowering women through cycling.
  • Catering to women of all ages, fitness levels, and cycling styles.
  • Encompasses bike maintenance, bike handling skills and bunch riding

The second strand:

  • Empowerment of female leaders
  • Provision of necessary qualifications to mentor and coach the women within their regional hubs.
  • Improvements in their own personal cycling skills.
  • As foundational instructors, they will possess all the necessary skills to support and mentor other ladies while out cycling.

Finally:

  • State wide retreats encompassing bike skills, motivation, health and psychological wellbeing
  • Networking with experts within the field

The Pink Flamingos are committed to establishing hubs, however, each hub requires a $1500 investment. We are actively seeking partnerships with businesses, organisations, and clubs to contribute the necessary funds to turn this vision into reality. Collaborating with us offers mutual benefits through marketing strategies, promotional materials, and the sponsorship of a selected hub. Feel free to reach out to explore the diverse options and opportunities available for partnership. As a non-profit organisation, we will provide tax receipts for your contributions. We look forward to discussing how we can work together to make a positive impact.

EmpowerHER Grant for women in need

Pink Flamingos is a community where the heartbeat of empowerment resonates within every woman, making Pink Flamingos more than just a cycling group – it's a movement of compassion and solidarity. We believe in the strength that comes from supporting one another, and that's why we're proud to announce our commitment to making a positive impact. With every member who joins our vibrant flock, 10% of their fees go towards a special grant dedicated to helping women in need. We also welcome people to donate towards our EmpowerHER grant.

As a member of the Pink Flamingos, if you are facing challenges or know another flamingo in need, our grants are here to assist. As our community grows, so does our capacity to make a difference. With increasing funds and expanding membership, Pink Flamingos heartbeat aims to contribute even more to our sisters in need.
