Wide Bay Burnett Region

The Wide Bay–Burnett region, situated within the Australian state of Queensland, spans an area north of Brisbane that is approximately 170–400 km north of Brisbane. Its coastal hub is the city of Maryborough, while inland areas are characterized by a series of ranges shaping the Burnett River. In the southeast lies the coastal expanse known as Cooloola. Key cities within the region include Bundaberg, Gympie, Hervey Bay, and Maryborough, with numerous notable towns such as Bargara, Biggenden, Blackbutt, Burnett Heads, Cherbourg, Childers, Eidsvold, Gayndah, Gin Gin, Howard, Imbil, Kilkivan, Kingaroy, Monto, Mundubbera, Murgon, Nanango, Rainbow Beach, Tin Can Bay, and Wondai.
